They claim they are unable to access the college’s online platform or contact the company to get their money back.
Innovaze Ltd, which trades as Dog Training College, said the brand has been purchased by an unnamed buyer and claims it will subsequently fulfil all existing payments and ongoing courses.
A company executive speaking exclusively to this newspaper said: “The brand has been sold and will be under new ownership, who will honour all existing contracts.
“No student is going to be left out of pocket. They all still have full access to all of our platforms and apps. We are fully operational in terms of the courses we offer.”
Its students continue to dispute this.

The college claims to have helped more than 16,000 people become certified dog trainers through its accredited and mentor-led program.
It is believed that all of the tutors have now left the company.

Leanne McWade, a former director of the business and qualified dog trainer who taught at the college for more than a decade, resigned in September.
“The company no longer aligns with my values or ethics,” she said in a Facebook post announcing her resignation.
Innovaze Ltd’s sole director is Ben Nichols. It has entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation.

Lucy Sparks enrolled on a dog training certificate programme earlier this year and paid £1,998 for the course, which she says she can no longer access.
“I took four years to save for that course because I’m a single mum to a disabled child,” she said.
“My life savings went on that course.”
