Ms Walsh, founder of Abby’s Animal Services in Tottington, said: “I’m honestly still in shock.
“To even be a finalist alongside so many incredible trainers was huge – to then be awarded Highly Commended is just amazing.
“I work my absolute socks off to keep learning and to bring the very best, welfare-focused training to my clients and their dogs.
“To have that recognised on a national stage means the world.”
Ms Walsh launched her business at the age of 21 and now runs a busy dog walking and training company serving Tottington, Affetside, and the wider Bury area.
Her early life on a working farm shaped her passion for animals.
She later completed Equine Business Management studies and qualified with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT).
Ms Walsh credits her clients for helping her reach the finals.
She said: “I wouldn’t be standing there on that stage without my amazing customers.
“Every person who has trusted me with their dog, left a review, recommended me to a friend or come along to a class has played a part in this.
“It’s been a whirlwind three and a half years building the business, and this award feels like a huge ‘well done’ to the whole Abby’s Animal Services community.”
Looking to the future, Ms Walsh plans to expand her services.
